Science Education

Continuous Registration

The academic catalog explicitly states:

Graduate students who have completed all of their program courses but not all of their graduation requirements, e.g. comprehensive exams, thesis, paper/project, recitals, etc., must be continuously registered until the degree is completed. Students reaching this stage will be automatically registered in the course SCI ED 629C, Continuous Graduate Student, and assessed a $50 fee. Continuous enrollment insures that students can access their university email accounts and utilize the library and its services through graduation (http://catalog.uni.edu/generalinformation/graduateinformation/).

Additionally, the Science Education graduate faculty have agreed to expand this criteria to include any Science Ed MA student not enrolled in course work during the fall and spring semesters (summer terms are not included in this policy).

Students receive twice yearly (Dec/Jan and Aug) emails and letters informing them of their current registration status as well as whether they will be continuously enrolled for the upcoming Fall or Spring semester.
