Science Education

Study science education at UNI – the state’s leader in teacher preparation

Science teachers play a critical role in development of a well-rounded student. By engaging them in science aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards, they foster their imagination, develop critical thinking and open the door to new possibilities, new ideas and new experiences.

In the University of Northern Iowa Science Education program, our continued leadership in science education, research and teaching advances our students to the forefront of meaningful and exciting careers and to become leaders in their schools, communities and in the field of science education.

By inspiring young minds to learn about the world around them, our graduates are reshaping classrooms and the science education community across the country.
